Amrapali

Generally I don't stop at National television channel while surfing. But I don't know why that Sunday I did that! It was the movie Amrapali...by F.C. Mehra (1966). This post is not a just another movie review, but what forced me to pen down this is the ultra enigmatic character of this movie that is Amrapali! Yes,I am smitten by her pursuit of the truth! I do have her few references from the book "Buddha". May be that's the reason why I glued to this movie.

Amrapali was one of the most beautiful women of the history. Her ancestral record was not available in history and it was believed that she was found under the mango tree and hence named as Amrapali!! She belonged to some 500 BC era. She was the patriot of Vaishali- a democratic city of that time. There is quiet an ambiguity on her affair with Magadh king. Some refers to Ajatshatru whereas some refers to Bhambhasara.

She possessed magnificent beauty which became a curse for her. As she grew up every young noble of republic desired her and wanted to marry her. Being the democracy, Vaishali parliament didn't want to loose their city unity for a beauty. So to avoid confrontation among her suitors, they took a very harsh decision then. they declared Amrapali as "Nagarvadhu" that means state courtesan. It was the trend then that most beautiful women would become courtesan and it was a respectable profession then. Only kings, princes, generals used to visit her.

Amrapali, the exquisitely beautiful lady nursed injured warrior Ajaatshatru, the emperor of Magadha. Unknown of the fact of his identity she was deeply in love with him. But when she realised the truth she didn't want to be a traitor of Vaishali and hence she left him. Ajaatshatru invaded Vaishali to possess Amrapali legally. He did conquer but he lost her as she couldn't believe that thousand of innocent people were killed for a selfish achievement! She renounced the world and joined Buddha.

There is a second dimension to this story. When Buddha and his disciples visited Vaishali, Amrapali noticed one of the monks with the begging bowl and fell in love with him for his grace, dignity, awareness. She offered him food and invited him to stay at her palace for next four months of rainy season. Jealous and angry fellow monks reached Buddha and narrated the incident. But Buddha permitted his monk to stay there for four months. He was very confident about his monk's consious. He knew that this monk would change Amrapali instead! Four months passed and that monk returned to Buddha followed by Amrapali. She said, " I tried my best to seduce your monk but he seduced me.He convinced me by his presence and awareness that the real life is at your feet. I want to give all my possessions to the commune of your monks."

There is a third dimension too. After renouncing all material pleasures Amrapli requested Buddha to let her join his disciples. But Buddha didn't approve of it as there was no bhikkuni (female monk) till then. It made her furious and disappointed. She asked Buddha," Why there is no provision for women in your commune? Is spirituality forbidden for females?" he simply said,"Its not forbidden for females.Only becasue it may harm sanity of my monks because you are so beautiful" She replied," Are your monks so weak that they can't stand my beauty?" This made Buddha to accept her as his disciple and she became the first bhikkuni.

Out of all the above stories the common factor is she joined Buddha as his disciple. Being one of the most sought after female, she left everything after the realisation of the shallowness of material world. She realized that her beautiful body is transitory. and everything for that matter around her was transitory. She couldn't hold anything permanently..her possessions, her beauty, her palace nothing! It was an illusion...nothing more that that. But we get so engrossed in these illusions that we start believing it to be the reality and get lost.....

Amraplai was one of the few disciples of Buddha who got enlightened. So truth is not forbidden for any cast or commune or gender...its accessible for everybody...every Amrapali can become Buddha...then why not you and me?

Opportunity

Its been few days I have lost my peace for a while....hummm...so its still possible to me, I have realised. I was under an illusion that nothing can hit me inside. But may be I had not come across such situation before..I mean I had but not such an extreme when it really hits you!

I used to feel I have in complete acceptance of life..the way it is...the way it comes..and believe me it was true up till now. But Sadhguru says you really need poking people around to fathom the intensity of your own spiritual practices. But I guess either my practises was not enough or he just wanted me to know that there is a long way to go....so you need to keep checking your self!

To be in acceptance is the mantra to life. But then acceptance can't be enforced upon you. If you are not capable enough to accept something then you have to accept that as well..yes I can't accept it!

I came across a simple yet very powerful thought, "Opportunity: often it comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat." So if I look at it as my defeat then its an great opportunity, isn't it? I should make use of it..I have realised where I stand and I know where I have to go....See people will be there to discourage you but its good for you!! I always used to think I can't stand hypocrites..but then that's a so strong dislike I had created in me as these people are bound to be there around you. So accept them just the way they are.Ok if you can't then, accept that you can't accept and act on it! alteast accepting the later you are not being pretentious..you are taking what you accept...and you are rejecting what you can't accept!

hummm...but I will cherish this experience also..again I am being judgmental..but that's what confirming to me that I still need to learn a lot. But cherishing this kind of experience means just mark it as a milestone, always keep it alive and try to imbibe the essence of acceptance in me!!
lets see how much I succeed in this?

So you see, its not that easy too....to keep alive tranquility of amazing calmness in you it takes much more than what is visible. But now when I introspect, I respect these pocking people for being there for me and testing me... I have learnt to respect everything that comes my way! I will make best use of this opportunity!!

The Seed

Its unimaginable calmness inside...Its really beyond words. Its so much to explore inside that I feel this lifetime is just not sufficient enough....really wonder how to exceed in my own longing for something beyond! But its amazing to have this. None can touch you, can take it away from you, no more floundering for anything...just an incredible tranquility!!

I really wish that every person should once experience it..no matter what. It makes you so gentle that on one can hit you.yeah it sounds contradictory but its true..Gentle here means composed..poised..that nothing can affect you! You become the punching bag...any number of punches delivered on you, you are standstill! No one can harm you, no one can break you, no one can hurt you.

See..its not that people have started suddenly being very good to me.The world is just the same. But there is a seed inside which has learnt to blossom. With some effort though..this seed is willing...and willing to become a big plat one day...and what I have to do is just nurture it..just comfort it..just offer whatever little I can. I want to see the plant grown.I want to witness it...I want to become that plant!! I still have to go a very long way.But what I have found at the very begining is such that I am excited for the unfold path.

You approach the world with so much ease ...and casualty..there is no pre or post thinking..no irritation..no frustration..no restlessness...because you are frozen in the single moment..you are living moment by moment..as if you are playing cricket ball by ball without thinking about the entire match..you are not bothered about the over even.If each moment is frozen as if its the last ..how will you be? And if you can be that way for all those moments...then how will it be? I know it sounds ambiguous..but its very very simple...You are in so much content with what you have within..that EVERYTHING seems to be tame...you do not need external oxygen support to be happy..you are just joyful!! there is no other way you can be! All the external breakdown agencies do work at their best but the reach is at a very superficial level. It doesn't enter your system. It just bounces back. So its really enjoyable...imagine the life without any worries and problem..what else we wish for?So you see...No one can mess with the secret divinity inside..no one can even think of that..no one can even imagine to ever reach that.

But all of us should reach out to ourselves and find our seed within! Its very much there you know...lying somewhere..just try a bit...push a bit...search for it..willingly...we will face it one day.And that day is not too far...the day we confront it, it will be the day to remember our lifetime...It will be the day to cherish always.

So please put a step ahead, reach out to yourself, don't hesitate...its yours ..always...its been lying there for so many years...its waiting for your proactive initiative..just go ahead..find your seed..find your self..and experience the bliss...its wonderful....beautiful...

Just ask for the love and grace to the divine, it will be granted!

Life is beautiful...

Today's morning was just the usual one.I was just turning around the pages of the news paper and read that news...twice..."10th std girl committed suicide by jumping off the terrace.." It was mistaken as an accident..but after investigation they found her notebook in which she had written her last massage to the world and that was "I quit".Oh.... that got me!!!

What is wrong with these students these days yar? How could they even think of suicide at this age? Is life is so invaluable for them? Don't they think even once about their parents? Or the pressure is so much dominant over everything in the life? what is it? I would really like to address all those students out there.I definitely want you all to just think a little over this!!

Can you forget those days... when you all were small kids and always clung to your moms for all small things you wanted."Mamma..i want chocolates..ice cream..cake...pizza..pasta.noodles..cookies..what not." She was always there for you for each and everything you needed her for. She was tired at times..she was disturbed at times..might be she was depressed at times..reasons were innumerable. Might be cos she had a fight with your dad..cos she was not well at all...cos she had lost her job..cos she had no money...cos she was troubled by relatives...she had given lots of work in the office which was out of her capacity...reason could be anything. But she understood that YOU were the first priority in her life who is all above this. You were her only star who shines all the time no matter how the sky was.She was always there by your side no matter what. She could never give up on you.You were and are her first love in life which is all above her worries and problems. She loves you sooo so much. And unless you become a mother or father you would never realise her devotion dedication, sacrifice, all that she has done for you!!

Can you forget those days... When you used to wait for your dad to demand that new thing in the market you just admired? that toy you just saw on the shelve and wanted it badly? Those branded jackets..those brand new bats...rackets...shoes...all those expensive things you ever wanted..remember every little thing you asked to your dad? He too was always there for you..no matter what..for all those things you wanted. And what was there on his mind? Might be he is pissed off due to his job..but couldn't let it go whenever he saw you and your future? Might be he was harassed by his boss but every time he opened his mouth to answer back he had you in mind and he gulped his anger.Might be he wanted to buy that posh car..but he killed his desire as he wanted to save his money for your future.might be he never wanted to do all this..he wanted to devote his life to his hobby but he always thought about you and erased it. Might be he and your mom couldn't gel well but still they remained with each other because it was better for you to do so!!

So many adjustments, sacrifices they had done for you. They are countless. Then you started going to school...you started enjoying your friends, company. And you had always been given the space you wanted. As they didn't want to intrude upon your privacy. You entered the world..you saw new people..you examined them..you learnt new things...you wanted to do your best. You wanted to make your parents proud of you by performing well. You started trying hard..you realised that competition is very tough and you may not beat your competitors...you realised its very hard to please everyone..you realised one day its all crap you are into..you cant do anything about anything...you cant achieve the expected grades. This is it!!! And you think of suicide!!....... Why??? I mean who told you that that's the end of suffering? I mean do you ever realise what is suffering?

Have you even notice those half naked kids on traffic signal? Have seen that glimpse in their eyes? They do not have enough clothing to cover themselves up..they do not have enough food to fill their bellies, they do not have shelter on their heads. The only thing they have is their urge to fight the life..their urge to face the life..their urge to deal with life..the way it is!! They do not claim to be best beggar..they do not claim to be the best car cleaner..they do not claim to be anything..because they somewhere understand...that they can not effort to do all this..they do not have choice to be the best or something. They just know one thing and that is they want to earn for that day..so that they would have a meaningful meal in the night. Have you ever looked at this aspect? What it is to be worried about getting one time food for a single day? I am sure, you have not! It never occurred to you that life can be so ruthless..so unjustified! but the point here is these people do not go and jump off the terrace or sleep over the railway line. They are not cowards..they know the only thing to deal with life is facing it!! They have accepted the life the way it is. They know it can be better...but the point is : today they are with the life fully..they are living their part fully..they are dealing with their lives fully...they are not running away.

Life is so precious guys. Its once in a lifetime opportunity. Please do not miss it. There is no charm to success if there is no failure. If there is no scorching sun how will you enjoy cool shade of a tree? If there is no pain how will you love joy? If there is no bad how will you ever know the taste of good? Life is that way..everything goes hand in hand..good and bad, love and hatred, success and failure..everything. So if you want to enjoy the former be ready to deal with the later too. Face the life as it comes..do not run away. Failure is the first step towards success. If you fail, that day should be celebrated because you have put your first step towards success. all your idols..all of them..do you think they are here without any failure? I am sure they have had most of failures on their account when they started their journey..that's what made them what they are today!!

Life is too beautiful to be wasted upon an ugly suicide guys.Please..if that thought peeps in ..even for a fraction of second just think about the person you love the most...think about those underprivileged children...think about your great heroes whom you admire and follow. Suicide is a cowardly act. Please do not even think of attempting it. Just be in the flow of life as if there is a floater hugging you..you are not bothered about the path you are passing through...looking up there in the sky...and enjoying the flow..just floating....life will take care of you for sure if you just be with life!!!

You and I

You say you are not giving your best..I say its all me and me..take what you want

You say you are not there for me..I say I was never here and there anyways..I am all into you

You say you always think about all others except me..I say cos I do not need to think about you as we are one

You say your concern for others make me feel ignored..I say my concern for you is so much that I need to concern others a bit to make them feel attended

You say you have lots of expectations from me, I say let me be just human

You say you are too good for others sometimes..I say that applies to everyone around me

You say you are dangerous when angry..I say hummmm...that can be worked upon..am sure I can win over it with time

You say you are so confusing sometimes..I say I have left that for you to sort it out

You say you are messy at times..I say that's when you can show me your brighter side

You say you invite unwanted situations..I say that's when you pull me out of

You say you are misunderstood at times..I say it really doesn't matter as long as you do not misunderstand me

You say you do not like this and that what I do...I say please accept me what I am..rather give me some time to accept you as you are

You say you are this and that and what not..I just say one thing whatever I am..is a reflection of you..just see your self in my eyes..you will no more find any difference...its divine..

I say do I need to say anything? Its so much inside it would take up a lifetime to disclose..let it be there..lets leap and float together in the ocean

Feel the difference

After completion of Inner Engineering programme, I was happy in practising my kriya. It gave me so much that I really wanted to reach out to people. Then coincidentally I could meet my teacher Maa Kashyapi and she told that this programme is coming up in Kharghar. That was it !! Hubby and me were so happy as we really wanted our family should do this. We imagined all sorts of thing..we will do this and do that..but then there was no disclosure about the programme. Finally again we could meet Maa and asked her about the confirmed date. She said "yeah its there on 29th Sep-5th Oct.And I will be conducting it."I just jumped out of joy and told her that she would be staying with us.And she accepted. We both were so happy that its not possible to pen down here.
The dates of the programme were out and venue was decided. I called up Mani anna to let him know that we are interested in doing whatever small work we can.And that's how it started.
All volunteers meeting, organising things, putting up posters, distributing brochures, doing introduction to closed ones to encourage them to join in...all started. First day of poster putting...4-5 of us started at 9.30 pm and finished one area till 11.30pm. It was amazing..so fullfilling. I had been suffering from severe spondylitis till that day.I couldn't drive, couldn't work on laptop. It was painful.I told abhi, " If i put this poster my pain will be gone"he looked at me in awe..I just smiled back. And for your surprise..it happened ..pain was gone in the night!!
Then there was no looking back...everyday coming back home...having dinner and putting up the posters...this was the schedule. We were enjoying it as it was our first time of volunteering. Maa Kashyapi couldn't come due to some other commitment on time. But Maa Erin moved in with us.First we were not sure how she will adjust to our family being a foreigner. What she will eat and how she will stay. But she was more Indian than us. And we really enjoyed our time.
Those 7-8 days of my life flew just like that. And only in that time my work load was also increased in the office. But it all got sorted out. I could manage everything.
Volunteering is something that no one can teach you.It just comes from within. I also had some resistance few times like why me? why not? why this ?n why that?... but after initiation on Sunday it got dissolved with Saduguru's voice. And the next moment there was no resistance in me. I just felt like part of something..that i do not understand! The work we were doing was not the daily work we do..be it mopping, be it cleaning the vessels, be it sweeping the floor, be it serving the food, cutting vegetables, preparing food..anything...it was not work anymore...I was just doing it...I didn't know why, what and how? but it was just happening..and some force was there with me..i remember at times i was so exhausted and tired that i thought of giving up! But Sadguru was there with me all the time..I just threw myself without any hesitation...
The last day arrived. The teacher acknowledged volunteer's work and everybody clapped for us. That time we thought ..oh what have we done yaar? why they are clapping? ..bit embarrassing...
I offered a small parting gift to maa.It took me long time to decide on it as I was not sure whether she would accept it or not.But she loved it so much! She was getting late for the train.there was no scope to waste time in anything there...she really had to rush to the station otherwise she could have missed the train. We were standing in front of each other with heavy heart to say good bye..I felt like holding her but I hesitated..as generally they avoid it being teachers. But she hugged me and I couldn't stop myself..that one moment was so joyful...she left...and i was left there with emptiness. After winding up the setup, I returned home ...i was in ecstasy....full joy..she infected me with it....it was mingling there for so long....this is the gift i will never forgive!!!! thanks maa!!!
Now I am really looking forward for the next Kharghar programme... :-)

Poor SMS

I went to bed quiet late that day.May be 1.30 am or 2 am.At 12 it reminded me of my friend's birthday. But I thought she must be sleeping..why to disturb now...will do that in the morning. When I got up in the morning, the very first thing I had to do was wishing her. So I grabbed my cell phone and started typing "Happywala Birthday ka massage". My cell is so obedient that he obeys all my orders. Hes so smart that I do not even have to tell him what word I am looking out for.He himself does that. I just type 2-3 alphabets and he grasps my mind.So sweet of him. I do not even bother to remember spelling in this case. So easy know...anyways..so i typed birthday massage by wishing her all the happiness in the world. And I turned towards other daily routine. She even reverted back with a cold thank you. I was like..hummm must be not feeling good or may be its not cold but I am assuming it to be cold.So its my problem.

I decided to treat her.So planned a nice luncheon and sizzling brownie at CCD. That is our all time favorite spot.Humm..I picked up the phone rang her up..it got disconnected..must be in meeting I thought. Then again in the afternoon tried her number and got disconnected...humm really an important meeting is going on..I thought. Then lunch time was over and I had to attend some meeting. I didn't make any attempt after that. I got a call at 5pm and it was her! I was in the meeting so I received it and promised her to call back. By then my cell went on oxygen mode. No battery. He is already suffereing from some low battery and  no network sundrome!I had to attend few important calls and phone was down.  Huh...sad...went back home..put the charger on and I went on waiting mode. After some time I received a sms form my dear friend. She congratulated me for being the first one who wished her all the harshness in the world!!! I got a shock of my lifetime..WHAT???? I thought shes gone mad. Then I thought wait a minute why she is saying that? I picked up my cell and called her..She was in a furious mood. She even wanted to return my so called happywala sms...hummm..I asked " what happened?'

After few minutes of discussion I realised that it was my dictionary mode who cheated me. And it was the sms who played the devil that day. She actually received a sms saying" I wish you all the harshness in the world" Oh my god!!! I couldn't believe it!!!

After a long conversation I somehow convinced her that it was not me...it was my cell..and finally she accepted.!!

See, if she wouldn't have told me ever about that stupid sms..I would have never come to know about it. I probably didn't check what I typed. The first thing dictionary picked after typing HA is harshness and next is happiness! Bloody harshness ate up my all happiness that day! huh....technology does come with some disadvantages.Guys do not ever trust your dictionary mode.Just imagine you being the first one to wish your best friend on her b'day harshness for a lifetime.Imagine the consequences...I had experienced..you better not..so just be careful..

JOY ..within

He rang me in the office and asked me to check out the website of Isha Yoga. I said OK..lets see what it is? Then very next day he decided to attend the classes and I was like naaahh...not me! Then I attended introductory lecture just to accompany him and I decided to join in too. We couldn't believe ourselves, we got up at 4am in the morning and did all that we never even dreamt of.It was truly a nice experience.

Isha Yoga..inner engineering..talks about inner wellbeing. There is no fuss about God and religion. There are few aspects I would like to share it with you. The very first benefit of Isha Yoga is it helps you increase your efficiency. It also increases your memory. It helps in weight reduction and believe me it works. Many diseases can be cured by simply practising some asanas in a prescribed way.

But there is one more dimension to it and that's where the essence lies.It also gives you the mantra of happiness. Now what is happiness? We all know what it is , right ? So how do you get it ? Can you buy it somewhere?

Ok lets assume my happiness is in a diamond set. Then I buy it for me...I am sooo happy. Then I have it...happiness gone. How long you would be happy for that diamond? Lifetime? Nope! It applies to all the material thing in this world. You just cannot buy that joy! Its there within you..you have to glance inside and find it out. Ok.Then what we should do for it?Do some asanas and you will be happy?what nonsense? Nope! Its not about doing asanas.

Its about searching your inner being. Its about knowing yourself. Its about self realisation.Who are you? What are you here for? What is the meaning of your existence? Or you just want to be born..live and die? If we are capable of answering these questions then the answer for how to become happy forever.. lies within. Just imagine if a BMW makes you a billion times happy. Then feel that happiness within you...try try..really..if you really get a BMW then what will be the magnitude of happiness? Ok you have gauged it..now assume that this joyful feeling is going to be there with you forever and ever and ever...none of the problems will eat up your peace..there will nobody to disturb your mind..no grief..no pain..only bliss! Can you think of it? You have that Joy with you 24X7. Of course it an amazing feeling..no wonder.

But then how is that possible? are we going to buy BMW everyday all long our lives?Nope! Then? You just need to give a little time to your own self. Sit for a while and think why am i doing all this? Why am i endlessly going behind a momentary happiness(?) ? You know what? If you get the mantra of happiness then you don't need a bungalow..don't need a BMW..don't need diamonds...you will be as peaceful and joyful in a small hut as you would be in palace...trust me.

This is science. You can experience it.Many of us think spirituality means winding up the lives and heading towards Himalayas. But that's not true, spirituality is not about into meditation all the time. If you read Buddha you will come to know the very simple paths of life being in this material. Now following those paths and enhancing your own self will definitely help you finding yourself. Take a dive within..its a very deep ocean inside unexplored...waiting for you...meet yourself...

I know I am talking quiet vague. But these things are not to be talked about. These are experiential. I know you wont be able to define your experience post self realization .Because you can not explain it in words..its beyond that. So all the best for journey. I hope you will be the happiest person in the world without any BMW :-)

Mesmerizing Eve

I know all of you may find this post a bit offtracked. As I generally pretend to be very intense writer :-). But I am also a human yar. Even I have a heart. I was also a teenager year(s) ago. So the reason to write this post here is just to rejuvenate my childhood memmories.
That day I was on my way to office.I had been feeling gloomy since night for no reason.Suddenly I was stunned by the hoarding in the square. And the moment i saw it,it brought four inches smile on my face..the same smile I used to have to see him once upon a time. The same kind of excitement I got ...and after so long..I actually screamed out...WOW..SONU....YEAHH. It was Sonu Nigam live concert. That to just five minutes from my home! Can you believe it? I know you can but I couldn't I swear. It made my day. I told my hubby "I am not going to miss it...no matter what". He knew younger year's my madness for Sonu Nigam but he might thought it was over by the time. But when he experienced same kind of jerky reactions from me he sarcastically said "yeah yeah I will take you to watch your brothers concert..don't worry" How rude was that!Anyways....just few months back I was wondering "why doesnt he make public appearances offlate? He is just disappeared.Thats not good for his fans." And I really wished that he should be apparent on the shows very often.

I remember when his first video was launched - it was copy of some of the Rafi's songs then only I noticed him. Then came "tu..." song..and I told my mom "he is going a long way..watch out".My mother as usual said "should not go too long otherwise you won't find him for you" For her it was nothing but an insane act of an adolescent.Anyways...but she used to call me out for his all appearences on television. Then came Diwana..and he became the icon...all girls were his fans..including me ofcourse! I watched all of the SaReGaMa episodes with repeat telecasts only for him.

On 26th January, since the morning I was reassuring my hubby that we are not going to miss the concert no matter what.He is such a sweetheart knowing the fact that that singer was my crush he agreed to accompany me.I just love him.Ofcourse he thinks I am more than enough matured for my age now(?)thats what made him take me to that concert.

It was 8pm to 10pm. and we reached the venue at 7.45pm.In no case we could find a good place to sit.It was overpacked and overcrowded. All entries were closed to the amphitheatre. But there were sideways open to stand and see the show. We somehow managed to push ourselves to fit into that packed crowd.I was actually praying to God..no matter what I want to watch his show and just like Jab we met dialogue "jab aap kisi cheej ko dil se chahate ho na ..actual mein..to aapko wo actual mein mil jati hai (If you really want something then you get it).My prayers were answered finally.
After a long(?) struggle of few minutes we got a place just next to VIP rows.We were standing though but that gave us a good visibilty. And it was just 15feet away from stage. It couldn't have been better than that. And the show started. He appeared on the stage. He came..he saw and he ruled. The whole crowd went mad..all of us started screaming...shouting...all stupid things. We enjoyed doing that.Hubby also shared the space at his best as he screamed more than me at times!

Sonu Nigam is a real rockstar..MJ of India. The improvisation he makes to the song is just amazing. We couldn't find a single song similar to any of its original version. It was mesmerizing in real sense. The brreathtaking experiance to watch your favourite star performing just few feets away...just incredible. And top of that hubby carried his camera and could manage to capture the star in our memories. Hatsoff to you Sonu!!! YOU REALLY DESERVE IT!
That eve lingered on my mind for many days post concert. And then decided to share it with you guys.Hope you will like it.Courtesy for photos goes to Abhi my dear hubby :-)

Aura

That day a very dear friend of mine dropped in for first time. The moment she entered my place she said “Hey, don’t know what but there is something about your house. It feels so ..so…so…..” I said “Contented?”
She said “Yes. Exactly”
Now, what was that? I always believed in humans having an aura. That means just like us...a structure does have an aura! The only difference is human aura confines the human body whereas the space within forms the aura for a building.

Aura is an atmosphere seen as emanating from a person, place, or thing. The great saint of all time used to have a very strong aura. We all possess an aura and it’s very interesting to know that we can see it. Though it’s not apparent in nature but we can train our sight to see it. It’s a protection shield of a human body. Before falling sick your aura will reflect that dis-ease and then the disease catches you. In many healing therapies aura cleansing is one of the important treatments for many chronic diseases. If you train yourself to see an aura of a person you can avoid many unwanted issues in life.

For living organisms, it’s inevitable. But is it possible for a nonliving entity like a house to reciprocate the mood of habitants staying in? I think yes it’s possible. If the habitants residing in are not happy you can make out when you enter in the house. And it’s irrespective of whatever protection shields you have kept in the house. Now your aura helps you to sense that. If habitants are contented we can definitely sense that too.

The best example for an aura of a non-living entity is a temple. What happens when we go to temple? Why we feel so energetic therein? The place is full of positive energy. You are in alliance with it so we can’t even dare to think about any negatives. People come there with a positive set of mind. You can not find anybody doing conspiracy about a bomb blast tehre. Right from the Pujari who performs the rituals each and every person is filled with devotion and love for God. The place reflects it. You feel so peaceful, so contented, so incredibly serene there. That means it reflects the energy of occupants. Right? One more thing I have observed about temples that if older the place more is the sense of tranquility. You may not find similar kind of peace in modern contemporary temples. The same applies to your house. Just be positive, think positive, live positive and no fights, no tensions, no ill wills. If you try the former then the peace in the house will flush out the latter part. You will enjoy the environmental change. I know being always in that bliss is not possible. Being humans we can not always be perfect and ideal. But you know what? Once your place is in the perfect balance then it consoles you, cares for you and you experience that after every bad day of your life!

I remember my first meeting with the Reiki Grand Master. Though I didn’t learn Reiki from him, he was the one who taught Reiki to my best friend and my cousin. So I just wanted to meet him as a thankful gesture. We approached there and entered the house. It was very simple, clean and joyful. I met uncle (we call him uncle). That tiny fragile figure was full of energy and spark in his eyes. He had dominated the environment in a very positive way. It was my first meeting with him so I was quiet silent at first. My friend initiated the conversation. Once I was introduced I started talking to him and we were talking till the end then. That meeting was not at all like a first meeting of two strangers. We discussed lots of things. He showed the excerpts of the book he was writing. I shared lots of my experiences. My friends might have felt a bit sidelined. But she could make out what was it. Then after a long talk uncle said, “I could gauge that you are a spiritualist from your aura”. I was glad to hear that and I felt the same but I considered myself very small to confess that as it was regardless to tell him his own glory.

This must have happened to all of us. Some stranger gave you that comfort level to disclose many personal things in life or some place made you feel as peaceful as your home and vice versa. There are people in life who make you feel very low without even uttering a single word. Okay this is not limited to physical meeting. Its quiet possible to acquire that trust from a person you have never seen and meet. That can happen over a telephonic conversation or a chat.

I am really looking forward for responses to this post. I am planning to learn how to see the aura. Is there anyone with this trait?

2012 - THE END?

2012 by Roland Emmerich.
What is it all about?
The last day?
Nostradamus’s prediction?
Don’t know what exactly but the movie is good only for its special effects and visual graphics. My 6 years old nephew unwillingly accompanied us.This movie was a big question mark for him. First of all he was not able to understand the concept of the movie. Then we all tired to make him believe that it was all fake. Huh…poor kid…he was intelligent enough to guess that he was forcibly been carried to the theater as he couldn’t be at home alone.

I like the movie just for its visuals. Firstly I think it contains lots of destructiveness like all other English movies. And also it’s not convincing enough as per the Mayan as well as other prophecy. Mayan predictions are misinterpreted in the movie. It again revolves in and around the material world. It’s all about saving your physical body..that’s all! Whereas, there is a very different dimension to it.

Many of us are aware of the Mayan calendar but not many people truly understand what it means and how it works. Yes the calendar does end on December 21, 2012, but what does that mean? How does it come to that? What is their calendar based on?

The Mayans prophesied that from 1999 we have 13 years to realize the changes in our conscious attitude to stray from the path of self-destruction and instead move onto a path that opens our consciousness to integrate us with all that exists.

The Mayan civilization of Central America was and is the most advanced in relation to time-science knowledge. Their main calendar is the most accurate on the planet. It has never erred. The Mayan fifth world finished in 1987. The sixth world starts in 2012. So we are currently "between worlds”. Humanity and Planet Earth are currently going through a huge change or shift in consciousness and reality perception. The Mayans also say that by 2012
- we will have gone beyond technology as we know it.
- we will have gone beyond time and money.
- we will have entered the fifth dimension after passing through the fourth dimension
Planet Earth and the Solar System will come into galactic synchronization with the rest of the Universe.
- Our DNA will be "upgraded" (or reprogrammed) from the centre of our galaxy. (Hunab Ku).verybody on this planet is mutating. Some are more conscious of it than others. But everyone is doing it.
- In 2012 the plane of our Solar System will line up exactly with the plane of our Galaxy, the Milky Way. This cycle has taken 26,000 years to complete. Virgil Armstrong also says that two other galaxies will line up with ours at the same time. A cosmic event!

Okay, now this is about Mayans. But Mayan is not the only participant in the prediction race. Almost all the civilizations or religions have predicted The End in varied ways.

According to Indian beliefs, Kali Yuga (this is the age of darkness/ignorance) and are on the verge of entering the Satya Yuga (the age of truth) when all falsehood will expose itself and drop away. The Yuga which links these two Yugas is named Krita Yuga ( Age of transition.)
From the Western Astrological perspective this seems to correspond with the understanding that we are transiting from the Piscean Age to the Age of Aquarius. The onset of the Aquarian Age speaks to us of spiritual awakenings, of the perfection of each human being, through an awareness of our own spiritual self. The time of rebirth and great spiritual development on earth. All this heralding a time of much greater joy and positivity.

Yet in the Christian tradition the generally accepted idea is that the Millennium starts around the year 2000. Websters 9th Collegiate Dictionary, USA, 1983 gives a definition as follows:- “The 1000 years mentioned in the Book of Revelation, chapter 20 during which Holiness is to prevail. A period of great happiness or human perfection”.

In the Islamic tradition there are many instances where the Holy Koran and the Hadith mention a future time of judgment & resurrection, known as the Qiyamah time. In the traditions of the prophet this time is indicated as coming some time after 1400 years (of the Hijri calendar), which again seems to coincide with the coming Millennium & twenty first century.

For Buddhists there is some expectation that the Wheel of Dharma, the metaphorical wheel of time is set to turn for the first time in 2500 years since Lord Buddha’s advent. Gautama Buddha apparently taught that each revolution of the wheel signaled a new beginning, or rebirth for humanity.

From the Book of Prophecies of the Knight John of Jerusalem (11th Century) comes the following: “The millennium that comes after this millennium will change into a light time. People will love and share and dream, and dreams will come true.” Further it adds: “People will be one big body of which every person is a tiny part. Together they’ll be the heart and they’ll speak one language.” “Men will have reached heaven” “Men will know the Spirit of all things” “People will receive a second birth and the Spirit will come into them.”

Ancient Sibylline Oracles of the Roman era perhaps also add to the collective vision of what the future may hold...for example “Vice shall leave the earth and be sunk in the divine ocean”

William Blake (1757-1827) speaks of the Judaic tradition in his work: ‘The Marriage of Heaven and Hell’. V14 as follows: The ancient tradition that the world will be consumed (overthrown) in fire at the end of six thousand years is true,....For the cherub with his flaming sword is hereby commanded to leave guard at(the) tree of life: and when he does, the whole creation will be consumed (overthrown) and appear infinite and holy, whereas it now appears finite and corrupt. If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has so closed himself up, till he sees all things thro’ narrow chinks of his cavern.

But the movie based on Mayan prediction has all the exactly opposite side of the story.
World comes to en end. People run for their lives. Hero rather the superhero of the movie passes through all the incredible odds and is still alive. An Indian, who favors the world by discovering this tragic end of the world, is not survived. Top of that none of the Indians is survived the end. An unpatriotic man who doesn’t support his president and decides to save his own life, who doesn’t care about thousand of people waiting to aboard the ship outside as it would have been late for launch of the ship, he survives ….hahahha….

2012 doesn’t not mean cataclysm. The new golden era is coming our way. We have to prepare ourselves to welcome this golden age. We have to uplift our conscious to face this drastic shift. World is not going to finish in 2012 but there will be a new beginning. See this direct us towards the Non-linear time. We always consider time as a linear entity. But its not it seems. It should be considered as spiral or circular. Everything is completing its rotation whether its arrival of Satyayuga or golden age….anything. Can we call it Beginning less begin? May be! This is what Buddha meant.

Because the Maya honored Mother Earth and the energy cycles that are present here, they were in tune with the cycles. They had access to information that is not available to 'modern people' because 'modern people' are extremely limited by their belief systems.

Yes, we modernists have too recognized the Mother Earth as a single organism as per Gaia Hypothesis discovered by scientist James Lovelock. It states that The Earth System behaves as a single, self-regulating system comprised of physical, chemical, biological and human components. Today we are not respecting our mother earth. We are destroying her. We are using all her organs and unbalancing her body. The fossil, stone, tree, coal all these are mother earth’s organs those have taken thousands of years to create. But as if we are not bothered at all. Why not? This is what resulting in thing like global warming…green house effect and going towards catastrophe. The change has been already started my friends. We need to realize it. All the calamities like Tsunami, deluge, extremities in climates, earthquakes are the outcome of our disrespect to Mother earth. Now if we try to relate both physical as well as astral predictions, both are pointing towards the end.

"The earth will not be destroyed on December 21st 2012. Mayan view this date as a rebirth - the start of the world of the fifth Sun. Earth will be crossing the galactic equator, aligning itself with the center of the galaxy for the first time in 26,000 years. This will make a cosmic cross. This cosmic cross is considered the tree of life. This will open a channel for universal energy to flow through Earth, cleansing it and all who dwell upon it. Rising all to a higher level of vibration. This process has already begun."

Surrender

There are lots of inevitable things in the world. Life is full of misery, grief, pain.So many incidences in life consist of bad memory. Why can not people forget the sad part in life and go ahead with the good one. Nope that is not possible at all. If you can carry the good then mind you you are bound to carry the bad one too. Whats the solution to this? How can we avoid pain in life? Can we? Is there any solution?

Even I am not an exception to this. I have also experienced pain in life. I believe there is always a reason for each and everything whatever we come across. When i passed through that bad phase i was shattered completely. I was not able to make out why me? I was not ready to accept it. The more and more i rejected it the bigger was the pain. Acceptance is not so simple as it sounds. I keep advising my friends accept the life as it is and there is no worry!

There is a story i read about Buddha sometime back.Once he was passing through a village followed by his disciples. There was a group of staunch people waiting for him who were against his protagonist image. So as soon as he entered, mob started abusing him. He was as calm as quiet as before. That indifference was unexpected by the crowd. He was then asked, "Why are you not reacting ?" He simply smiled and said" if i offer you fruits, but you don't wish to eat it then what will you do?" He got an answer that those fruits will be distributed to family relatives and others. He said "then go back and distribute all your hatred to your family and relatives. i don't wish to accept it so its of no use to me." So acceptance is the root cause of everything. Its all upto you. If its good for you then take it otherwise just deny.

But when i was put in the same palate i gave my best not to accept it.I didn't want to accept that pain. Such is the life..huh..but yes such is the life...you cant do anything about it. But when i was back to my conscious in the hospital i realized it was over. My baby was no more with me.And that was the reality....i accepted. I accepted that he is gone, it had to happen to me and it happened and i cried a lit and suddenly i started smiling, don't know hwy? I chatted with my husband and was fine then. Superficially it was all back to normal but it was not. I was carrying a burden of something unknown. I was angry with God. I didn't deny his existence but he couldn't help me out when i needed him the most. He could do nothing. He couldn't save my baby. I was holding on it for so many months. I was under terrific pressure. Pressure of not letting go, pressure of responsibility, pressure of being good, pressure of lots more than that. It was becoming more and more difficult for me.

That day it was too much. I was fade up of all never ending arguments and misunderstandings.Fortunately our dear didi had come over for a weekend. And she made us realize that things were not fine and we were being pretentious. She actually made me realize that i was not okay and that was okay to be not okay. She played an angel for us.Next morning, i got up, completed my routine exercise, and meditated for some time as a part of my daily dose. I confronted God..talked to him..i screamed inside...i said" this is it..i cant take it anymore....just make everything fine..normal as before...i am tired of it..come and hold me.I am your child , you have to help me out.I completely surrender myself."

The moment I opened my eyes it was my husband who was sitting in front of me as if he heard everything. He smiled at me.He confessed that I was shouldering lots of thing beyond my limits. Now he would take over. He would share my all worries and tensions. The very next moment things were normal. Just perfect. I couldn't believe it. Is it so easy? so simple? Oh my God! It was so simple. What was I waiting for? May be I could gauge my own capability to handle problems though it was horrified. But then it was all solved. You just have to surrender...but yes it takes lots of time to reach there for many of us. Either we pull on for so long or we just remain idle.

Osho says enlightenment is always through surrender, but surrender is achieved through intelligence. Only idiots cannot surrender. To surrender you need great intelligence. To see the point of surrender is the climax of insight; to see the point that you are not separate from existence is the highest that intelligence can give to you.Though the surrender he talked about is to follow the path of intelligence . Although we can always follow these principals to solve even small problems in life. This practice will definitely redirect us towards the same path of intelligence.

Generosity

That day I was on my way back to home. It was around 1-1.30 pm. I was standing in the door of the train...as usual .Its my favorite place...I really enjoy traveling by local train. It’s so much fun. There are so many different genres you come across….so many people of different backgrounds… different mentality….different behavioral patterns….real life!

So I was trying to eat up few remaining pages of Sudha Murty's book as I wanted to start the new one as early as possible. I was trying to relate myself to those stories in some way...of course in a positive way. If its about intellect then I thought "humm..am not dumb"..if its about love then I thought "I hardly hate anybody"...if its about kindness then I thought "hummm i am generous"....but I got a shock of my lifetime in few moments when I was engrossed in self appraisal. I was having a glance through the book at each station. I noticed a small kid is sitting in the door just opposite to me. He was not begging...not doing anything. just sitting there...still...with bare minimum clothes on his body, dark colored, tired eyes, as if he was not feeling well...i saw him and again buried myself in the book. Suddenly a lady in nauwari sari with a basket of vegetable rushed towards the door. She was a middle aged woman who was earning wages after quiet a hardship of a day. It was apparent that she wanted to get down and train whistled...in that rush moment she fumbled in her purse and took out two coins of Rs.2 and said"Ae pora, he ghe"( take this child). He was not in his senses...looked at her and accepted it with apathy...and she got down. I witnessed the whole incident …that lady disappeared...I was back to the book. I didn't understand what I was reading. I was just running through pages. I was feeling ashamed of myself....I was feeling very small...no one else showed the gesture that poor lady did...it moved me completely!

I was going through a thought process. Generosity...it’s the urge to help others no matter in what state you are in...If you the richest man of the world and doing charity....that's not a big deal. For me that lady was the epitome of kindness! I am quiet sure those Rs.4 were very precious to her...and she didn't even have a grudge against her act...she looked so contented. And how can we call our self generous?.....I didn't even feel like giving money to that guy as it would have looked like copying that lady...poor me....when I was about to get down I was on the edge of the door …searched for a note in the pocket and gave it to him....that boy looked at the note and then to me ...but I was not there....but it didn't give me any satisfaction....i was feeling still SMALL....

Hey thanks for thoughtful reply….
I do understand what you mean to say..I do understand the situation you were in..coz I have too experienced it...but now am also out of it...and my post was all about the new thought I have read…an entirely different concept …that was far away from my old school of thoughts..but then I wanted to read it…just to satisfy my own self!
I do believe in that supreme power…that ultimate source of energy...being a Reiki person I have experienced it too...I was at peace in my own shell…everything was as per my assumptions…the arguments I used to defend with were all one sided…means I never knew the other side and I was defending my side.. You don’t have to be biased about that truth…it’s simply truth...but I found myself favoring my own thought... that’s not fair right?
Before entering into this diversification I had already presumed that it would definately shatter me...confuse me..would put me in dilemma… again my foundation would strive for a base….but I wanted to do that!
And I read Buddha...I tried my level best to understand it..to absorb it... Its very difficult...i mean when you already have a full glass of water then to adjust some more water into it is next to impossible….but I guess I did it..with some pain..I was again disturbed…confused...I analyzed his theories...compared them with mine ..but finally I realized-He himself was talking about that ultimate source of energy with different perspective..the difference was he never openly addressed people towards it..He wanted people to understand life first...respect it...live it with good deeds..fulfill its purpose...then go ahead...but as I said earlier that context was far different then and thats why he taught the path of life from a different aspect! He never explained what was the enlightenment he had? But then what was it? It’s still a mystery…
So I hope you understand what I wanted to say..so...for me..truth is only one!

hi all...i know its been quiet a long time...i just disappeared..but hey watch there i'm back... rocking..as always...so whats up there in your lives?
ummmm...me...become more n more philosophycal these days ...
i have read a very nice book...just few days back...its about Budhdha...by osho!
So lots of things i have realised as if i never knew them...i has always heard about Budhdha that its pessimistic...or towards negativity....it doesnt talk about bright light at the end of the tunnel...no miracles....and ofcourse it is like that!
But then...now there are two truths ...one says..there is light....other says there is complete darknesss..whom should we believe in?But truths cant be two..right?It has to be the same ALWAYS..thats why its the truth...

What i could recollect from the book and my own experience is Truth is One!
But then how come its repelling? Its just matter of context in which Budhdha preached....it was the era when castism..religionism...racism was flourishing at its best..and just in the hope of that light at the end of the tunnel people were forced to behave as been ordered by cast gurus...no literacy...no education...people were deeply superstitious...there was no way to make them understand the actual meaning of Truth. The only path Budhdha chose to make them realise the importance of Existance of their own....meaning of Suchness in life...accept the life's ectacy and grief as well....just be happy...there is no way to pursuade people from concept of ..god, heaven-hell, reincarnation....so if death is the truth why to starve for life after death? if there is complete darkness at the end of the tunnel...then why not live the moment?....
But then as i said Truth can be only one! Light is there...then what did he mean?...Osho put it in this way..if half glass is filled with water you can either say its half full or half empty.
So if there are thousands of sun at the end of the tunnel then are we capable of perceiving it? nope... then that would be the complete darkness our eye would experience....but if we empower ourselves we are capable of perceiving that bright light..
So just enjoy your life....have faith in yourself...care for your existance...and be in the momment....thats what i could read from between the lines...N'JOY

Love & Relationships

I grabbed my hot tea and opened the DNA news paper.Till today's morning i was quiet sure about my perception of love and relationships. But this Guru Speak column really moved me and forced me to check my definitions again and again...Its a kind of enlightenment for me.I think many of you must have missed it but don't you worry..I'm reading it out for you all.

Its really mysterious that each relationship begins in the freedom of love and ends in the bondage of relationship.Love comes like a strong breeze and carries away lovers to unknown dimensions. Two lovers go through peak experiences and then need to settle-in the process, they start feeling bored, craving the same peaks again. When this does not happen, they feel frustrated and fall into the ditch of misery.

Life functions in polarities and dualities. One who understand this becomes at ease with them and finds peace.By choosing, you end up in misery.Be in choice-less awareness, and you attain equanimity and go beyond misery.Osho says that a relationship that is alive is always changing. It has many climates, many moods. It has many surprises.A dead relationship remains remains stagnant. It is repetitive; it is the same- but then it is no longer relationship. Then you are not two persons, just two things together.

A relationship based on love and not any business will be flowing and river-like. The mystic Heraclitus says,"One cannot step in the same river twice." Alive love-relationships come to fruition, but they are never complete. Completion simply means death and nothing else.

In the Book of Wisdom, Osho explains the difference between love and relationship- particularly the relationship that we know. He says,"Relationship means something complete, finished, closed.Love is never a relationship; love is relating. It is always a river, flowing, unending. Love knows no full stop; the honeymoon begins, but never ends. It is not like a novel that starts at a certain point and ends at a certain point. It is an ongoing phenomenon.Lovers end, love continues. It is a continuum. it is a verb, not a noun."

Life full of love is not static; it is vibrant. There's a breezing of freedom in love.Such love knows no bounds, no misery. It is all joy and bliss.

New Year Resolution

As usual i thought this year i would make one and break the same one....hahahah! But let me tell u on a very serious note that till this year i had never looked at this new year resolution business so seriously...really..i mean it..i mean it was fun earlier...never gave a damn to complete any! But the whole chain of events in my life shattered me completely....

I just believe in a moment...u have to take it or leave it...u cant cry for it for the rest of ur life... so just live the moment thts my mantra....don't let the past overshadow ur present and future as well.... But me?...i myself had forgotten this.... Everything was going out of my hand and i was in comeplete grief ....huh.....sigh....

I thought i wud loose.....its all
over....things were not that bad though but definitely not what i cared for.... But guess what..this resolution gimmek..yeah...it was for me earlier.....just changed everything.....i decided something...and followed for just two days..and can u believe... things were automatically falling in place....everything was coming back to normal....i just thanked god for showing me that omen in the form of resolution! it has changed my life!

Now i'm very happy...thts wht i look for in life.....i really don't care wht gives u tht ..but if its cleaning the toilet tht makes u happy then common ...do it...
I know this may sound nasty to some of u..but thts the truth i believe in.... The concluding part is ...be determenint....consistant...if u think u can stick to ur resolution then u can of course! and it wud change ur life up to great extent...trust me!

I know i didn't unwind my resolution .....but i don't mind sharing it with u friends....n u know the reason behind it? Its like If you dream something then dare to declare it..coz if u do reveal it , u don't have any option open to work harder n harder for it , rite? coz there wud be lots of faces to question u ... at least for the sake of ur public image...u wud give it a try....otherwise it wud die before its born...wht say?
So my resolution was to control my anger!
Whats urs?

Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year

Hi all,
I'm really glad to have an opportunity to share my thoughts with all of you!

I just wish you all a very happy new year ahead!!!

We're stepping into a new era but even today you can't avoid this irony.....

When I born, I Black,
When I grow up, I Black,
When I go in Sun, I Black,
When I scared, I Black,
When I sick, I Black,
And when I die, I still black..

And you White fella,
When you born, you Pink,
When you grow up, you White,
When you go in Sun, you Red,
When you cold, you Blue,
When you scared, you Yellow,
When you sick, you Green,
And when you die, you Gray..
And you calling me Colored?!
